Christmas Day 2008

Here is a little clip of Christmas morning at our house.

We overheard Cameron reading one of her new books and decided to try and sneak in her room to tape her.

Cameron saying the Blessing

This was taken a little while back, but just now got time to post it. We thought Cameron was so cute when she said the blessing at dinner, that we just had to tape it.

Pictures from Thanksgiving

Here are some pictures taken Thanksgiving Day. There are alot of Chloe and few, well, really none of Cameron. Let just say that Miss Cameron is a bit more stubborn now that she is 3. She wouldn't be still long enough for me to get pictures of her. She did sit for the family pic though. I took advantage of the time Chloe was playing in Mom and Dad's yard........it's been hard for me to just get good pictures of her. Her big sister is always wanting to jump it and distract her.

Halloween 08

This Halloween Cameron was a ladybug and Chloe was a pumpkin. They were both so cute!!! They really enjoyed themselves trick or treating, especially the popcorn balls from Chuck and Hope.

Cameron's 3rd Birthday

This birthday was great! Cameron was finally old enough to really understand what "birthday" meant, and was so excited about it. Her birthday was actually Tuesday, Oct 14th, but we had her party with family and friends on the following Saturday.
Her actual birthday morning, I let her unwrap one of her gifts, a cabbage patch, and gave her a birthday hat to wear to school. She was so cute. As she unwrapped her present, she saw what it was and said "hey baby doll, hey sweetie, hey...", it was so funny. Then later that night after school, we had a birthday dinner of chicken nuggets (what she requested) and brownies for her, and she got to open up the rest of her gifts from Mommy, Daddy, & Chloe. She got her first Barbie, which she had been asking for. The video & last picture is of her with some of her friends at her party. She had the best time...birthday's are great, but exhausting.

Ring Around the Rosey

This was actually taken last weekend. It just takes me forever to sit down and get it loaded on here. I love the fact that the kids are so close in age that they can actually play with one another. Here they are singing "ring around the rosey". They just kept doing this over and over again. Finally I had to make Cameron take her sister to her room where there was carpet. When Cameron would ..."fall down..", she would pull Chloe over with her and hit her head on the floor. Chloe thought it was hilarious, but I figured it as just a matter of time before Chloe was hurt and got upset.

"Club Cameron"

Neighbors of ours let Cameron borrow the Disney movie Madagasgar (spelling?), which is very cute by the way, and Cameron really enjoyed the music played with the credits at the end of the movie. Needless to say, this was the second time she had danced through the end of the movie. I was hoping to get Chloe dancing in there some, but it was getting late and I think she was ready for bed. I don't think I have even seen Cameron dance that hard before! It was hilarious! Good way to wear her out before bed. I wish I had turned the TV up some more before taping. Turn the volume up a little so you can hear the music in the back ground.

Bath Tub Belly Laughs

Tonight the girls were playing in the tub. Chloe was really enjoying herself. She would splash in the water and then start the long belly laughs that were hilarious. I wish I would have gotten the camera earlier, but I still caught some laughs. They are so cute!!!!

You've got to be kidding?!

Tonight when I was getting the girls in the bath tub, Cameron was already in the tub and Chloe was standing outside the tub with her diaper already off. I looked over at her and she had the look like she was trying to poop. So, in a hurry to put her somewhere other than the tub, I grabbed the potty seat from under the sink and stuck her on the potty. Needless to say it was a false alarm and she just sat there. But then after their bath and after I got Chloe's diaper and pajamas on.......she started fussing like she was trying to poop. So, I asked her if she was trying to go poo poo. She immediately walked out of her room and towards the bathroom pointing at the potty?!!! So, I stuck her up there and sure enough, out came a big poop!!! Yey, we all celebrated! Its kind of early for this sort of thing???.......I think Cameron was like 20 mths or something when she first did this.

Poor Horsey

Well, our hand-me down rocking horse saw it's final day today. Cameron was in the kitchen "going to town" on the rocking horse when I glanced over and saw her hands in the air and then her feet in the air! She fell backwards off gthe horse and hit her head on the refrigerator. The horse had been decapitated! I think the screws that held the head on are stripped. Hopefully Daddy can fix it and the girls can get to rocking again.

New Washer, Dryer & Playhouse

A couple of weeks ago we bought a new washer and dryer. We love them.......they are huge!! The kids love them too..........................they love watching the clothes go round and round. They are also enjoying their new playhouse we made from the box. A big cardboard box is hours of entertainment!

Little Mommy

Well, today I discovered Cameron playing "little mommy" once again. But this time it was a big "no no". A couple of weeks ago I had to take Chloe to the doctor for some really bad diaper rash that wouldn't go away. They gave a prescription for a diaper cream that's actually in this big round container with a screw-top lid............needless to say its pretty easy for the kids to get open. I have been telling Cameron to stay out of it, so at this point she knows better. But I guess her curiosity got the best of her and she decided she needed to put diaper cream on her baby too.......lots of it!!!! She's not in the picture because she did get in trouble for it and I didn't want her to think she was being cute. But I guess it was alittle cute!?? The picture is alittle weird, but this is exactly how she left it when I sent her to her room. That's the diaper cream spread all over the baby's bottom and on its diaper.

The New Hiding Place

The other night after their bath, Cameron and Chloe were running around like crazy monkey's hiding so they wouldn't have to go to bed. They figured out that they could hide between Chloe's bed and the wall, and Mommy and Daddy can't reach them. I am really surprised they haven't been hiding there before now. Chloe's bed has always been in the same spot.

Rocking Chloe

Here is Chloe enjoying her rocking horse. We just discovered a couple of weeks ago that she knew how to ride it.

Visiting the cows

Over the past couple of weeks, the pasture that borders our backyard has been full of cows. The girls love to go visit them. Unfortunately, the cows won't stay close enough to the fence for us to feed them. I guess it's the kids running up to the fence and calling them that scares them off. I was only able to take some short, couple second clips of them. I didn't realize my camera's memory was full and the batteries were running low.

Crazy Chloe Events

Here are a few pics of Chloe's milestones/curiosity. She has really started climbing alot lately. I first noticed it this spring when I was moving the changing table out of her room and reorganizing it. I moved it out to the den, things got quiet, and I found this.

In the past I have made Cameron sit at the kitchen table with crayons instead of at her play table in her room, because...................well, just look.

Chloe started feeding herself with a spoon over the summer. Yum!! spagettio's everywhere!

Our Summer

This summer was great. I really hate to see it come to an end as I head back to work. We all had so much fun and I really enjoyed my time at home with my girls. We did lots of things this summer. It included two beach trips. The first trip was to Myrtle Beach (thanks Martha & Bud). It was great...........the girls enjoyed hanging out with their cousin, playing in the sand, dancing on the boardwalk, and visiting the aquarium.

Our second beach trip was to Harker's Island/Cape Lookout (thanks John & Lynda). This was also a great time. Although it was shorter than the last beach trip, the girls got to do things they had never done before. They got to go on a boat ride and Cameron caught her first fish. They were so cute in their lifejackets. Especially Chloe, she could barely walk in hers. Everytime she would fall down in the boat, she couldn't get up on her own. Sadly to say, I have no pictures of the two of them on the boat................I think we were just so busy making sure Chloe wasn't going over board or going to throw anything over board, that we just forgot. However, we did dock the boat on the beach at the rock jetty on Davis Island and let them play in the sand. They loved it and so did Maggie. It was beautiful out there..............we would have stayed out there longer, but the girls, including "pasty white" me we getting sunburned.
